| Ten dead in rocket attack on Israeli-occupied Golan |
Ten teenagers and young adults lost their lives and dozens were injured in a rocket attack on a football pitch in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, as reported by Israeli emergency services. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that the rocket struck the Majdal Shams area.

This attack marks the deadliest incident in the region since the escalation of cross-border hostilities between Israel's military and Hezbollah following the onset of the Israel-Hamas war in October. The IDF has attributed the attack to Hezbollah, though Hezbollah spokesman Mohamad Afif denied any involvement, stating that all accusations were false.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, currently visiting the US, has cut short his trip to return home, and was briefed on the situation by aides on Saturday. Foreign Minister Israel Katz expressed the gravity of the situation on Israel's Channel 12 news, stating, "We are facing an all-out war."
The attack was preceded by an Israeli strike on Lebanon that resulted in the deaths of four militants. While Hezbollah fired rockets in retaliation, it denied any connection to the Majdal Shams incident.

Verified footage shows a chaotic scene on the football pitch, with people rushing to assist the injured and stretchers being carried to ambulances. Majdal Shams, home to about 25,000 Druze people, is one of four villages in the Golan Heights. Although these residents were offered Israeli citizenship after the annexation of the Syrian Golan Heights in 1981, most declined. They are allowed to study and work in Israel but do not have voting rights.
