Headlines News Hub (HNH) — ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski is joining St. Bonaventure as the men's basketball GM. He shared this news with ESPN.
Wojnarowski has a deep connection with St. Bonaventure. He graduated in 1991 and has supported the school. He's also a distinguished alumnus from the Jandoli School of Communication.
"Returning to St. Bonaventure is a dream come true," Wojnarowski said. "I hope to help our student-athletes and coaches. I aim to open doors for their futures."

"I'm retiring from ESPN, a dream job," he said. "I'm grateful for my time and experiences."
The GM role is common in college basketball now. It involves managing the team, recruiting, and supporting the coach. Wojnarowski will help coach Mark Schmidt.
"Woj is perfect for this role," said St. Bonaventure's athletic director, Bob Beretta. "He knows St. Bonaventure well and has a wide network. His decision to leave ESPN shows his love for the school."
Wojnarowski shared his journey on social media. He started as a sportswriter and worked for 37 years. He's retiring to focus on personal matters.
"I'm grateful for my career," Wojnarowski wrote. "I'm retiring from ESPN to focus on what's important to me. I want to spend my time meaningfully."
He thanked everyone who helped him. He's grateful for mentors, colleagues, and readers. His career has been a privilege.
"The past seven years at ESPN were special," he said. "I'm thankful for the company's support. I'm excited for this new chapter."
ESPN's chairman, Jimmy Pitaro, praised Wojnarowski. "He's talented, fearless, and dedicated. We'll miss him but support his decision."
