Kelly Nelon Clark, her husband Jason Clark, and their daughter Amber Nelon Kistler, members of the family gospel group The Nelons, tragically lost their lives in a plane crash on Friday afternoon. They were en route to the Gaither Homecoming Cruise to Alaska when the accident occurred, as confirmed by the Gaither Management Group.

The crash, which took place near Recluse, Wyoming, also claimed the lives of four others, including Amber's husband, Nathan Kistler, their assistant Melodi Hodges, and the pilot Larry Haynie along with his wife, Melissa.
Kelly and Jason’s other daughter, Autumn Nelon Streetman, who was not on the plane, expressed gratitude for the support received during this difficult time. "We appreciate your continued prayers, love, and support as we navigate the coming days," she said in a statement, acknowledging the loss and thanking well-wishers for their prayers for her, her husband Jamie, their unborn baby boy, and Jason’s parents, Dan and Linda Clark.
The group had shared their journey on Instagram just before the crash, with Jason Clark posting, "Gaither Homecoming Alaskan cruise. We are on our way," showing the group’s excitement for the trip.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating the cause of the crash. Initial reports suggest that the Pilatus PC-12/47E, a single-engine turboprop, "impacted terrain following a reported autopilot issue during flight."
