CrowdStrike, the cybersecurity firm responsible for a global outage last week due to a faulty update, is offering a $10 Uber Eats gift card to its partners as a token of apology. Several recipients and sources have confirmed receiving the gift card, which CrowdStrike sent to acknowledge the inconvenience caused by the incident on July 19.

In an email from Daniel Bernard, CrowdStrike’s chief business officer, the company expressed its regret and gratitude. “We understand the additional work this incident has caused and want to say thank you and apologize for the inconvenience,” the email stated. “To show our appreciation, your next coffee or late-night snack is on us!”
However, some recipients reported issues redeeming the gift card, receiving error messages indicating that the voucher had been canceled. TechCrunch also encountered a similar issue when checking the voucher, which was marked as invalid.

CrowdStrike has not yet commented on the situation. The outage, which began on Friday, affected around 8.5 million Windows devices, causing them to display the "blue screen of death." This disruption led to delays at major airports, halted surgeries in hospitals, and paralyzed numerous businesses globally.
