Williams, who was the No. 4 overall pick in the 2018 WNBA Draft after a standout career at UConn, is now one of France's top players at the 2024 Paris Olympics. After being drafted by the Chicago Sky, Williams shifted to playing overseas full-time after the 2022 season.
Though she’s originally from the United States, Williams is eligible to represent France in the Olympics because her mother, Therese, is French. This isn’t Williams' first time competing for France; she also played for the team in the Tokyo Olympics, where they secured a bronze medal.
Standing at 5-foot-11, Williams has been a key player for France throughout the Games this summer. Here’s what you need to know about her.
